Hot-melt adhesives are characterized as reliable, practical and extremely flexible adhesives, thanks to their properties that make the products effective and applicable on different surfaces, immediately having perfect compatibility with the most varied materials. Thanks to these particularities, their use is wide and includes the most demanding applications.
This process allows the glue to adhere perfectly to the surfaces, ensuring a natural hold.
The benefits of this type of glue are many:
- Practicality and simplicity of use.
- Instant activation, no waiting times.
- High viscosity index.
- Adhesion and application also on non-porous and inclined surfaces.
- High performance of the welding surface.
- High mechanical and chemical properties.
- Ability to resist external factors.
- Possibility of re-melting in some cases.
- Pure use, from an aesthetic point of view.
Fields of application of hot melt adhesive
Thanks to the technical characteristics of this adhesive, it can be applied in various fields from packaging to manufacturing, from plastic assembly to textiles, from packaging to DIY.
Here are some examples of applications:
- Building: adhesive panels, fixing insulators and coatings.
- Packaging: Where welding is required on packages, papers and cartons.
- Textiles: application in mattress or fiber bonding industries.
- Car: gluing interior or plastic parts.
- Assembly: footwear industry, cables, wiring, device production.
- Wood: gluing in the furniture industry for the production of furniture and upholstery.
Hot melt adhesives in sticks are produced in different diameters for precision work that needs to be done with a heat gun on almost any type of material. The uses of this type of hot glue are varied: from wallpaper to ceramics, from furniture to mirrors to cork, plastic and components used in electronics.
Fast welding, flexibility and durability are among the strengths of this type of application.
The storage of this type of glue is done in cool and dry places, away from heat sources and below 50°C. It may seem like a relatively high temperature, but in the summer a van e.g. parked in the sun can create a "greenhouse effect" that can destroy the adhesive and affect the effectiveness of the weld in use. Therefore, we recommend paying special attention to this aspect.
